Carpooling is a great way to save money, make your automobile last longer, relieve daily driving stress, and do something good for the environment.

It’s flexible too, so you can carpool when it’s convenient for your schedule. Just ask the commuters in the hundreds of registered carpools that are operating all over Maine!

• Find a vanpool travels to the town you commute to through GOMaine’s services.

• Worried about missing your ride home if you carpool?  Don’t.  With GOMaine’s Emergency Ride Home Guarantee you’ll be able to respond to any other unforeseen daytime emergency with a free (or reimbursed) ride home.

Car Share

As of January 1, 2009 we have a car share program in Portland!  U Car Share offers 4 cars located near Monument Square across from the Metro Pulse station and also near the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal.  For more information see this post.
