Green Streets and Portland Bicycle Commuter Group Join Forces!
Sunday, March 23rd, 2008Portland Green Streets is teaming up with the Portland Bicycle Commuters Meet-Up to offer a fun gathering on or close to each Green Streets Day! These will alternate each month between a social or educational/advocacy focus.
March will be our first joint meeting and we have invited members of the Portland Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee to come and talk about who they are and what they are doing to improve the pedestrian, bicycle, and transit experience in Portland. The Bike/Ped Committee is a voluntary and self-selected group of citizens who advocate and educate on bicycle, transit and pedestrian issues, including handicap accessibility.
Please come, have some tasty eats, and bring your questions and concerns about what is being done to make Portland a nicer place to walk and bike, what more might be done, and how you can get involved!
When: Friday, March 28 (Green Streets Day!) at 7:00 PM
- Where: Zero Station Gallery, 222 Anderson Street, Portland , ME 04101
- For April’s social event, please join us for the Earth Day Bike Parade on April 27th!
